Volunteers
Without the help from our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to produce such a fantastic conference! Whether you are a Georgia Tech student, alumna, or community member, we offer any WLC volunteer discounted admission ($5) to the Conference. And if you cannot attend the conference, but would still like to get involved, there are plenty of opportunities in the week leading up to the conference to help out. Just sign up!
Monday-Thursday:
The week before the conference is busy, busy, busy. Please keep in mind that Monday-Thursday does not mean we will keep you all of these days. The Volunteers chair will be in touch and let you know ahead of time when help is needed. Some examples of the tasks include: stuffing envelopes, preparing name tags, ironing decorations, flyering and all sorts of fun arts & crafts activities! So if you need a little break from your studies, sign up and relax in the Women's Resource Center while working with your hands!
Friday Night:
Friday night is the first night of the conference! Some of the tasks for the big night include: working registration, directing guests, set-up, breakdown.
Saturday Morning:
Saturday morning is action-packed. We will need help in the following areas: set-up, breakdown, directing guests, and workshop liaisons **
**Workshop Liaisons: Are you interested in developing your public speaking skills? If so, this is the job for you! This is a low key way for you to gain extra practice in public speaking by introducing our Workshop speakers to the conference attendees. Then after the workshop, you will be responsible for concluding the session by thanking the speaker and presenting them with their gift. Please note that workshop liaisons are extremely important and if you sign up be prepared to commit to the position!
