Conference Workshops

New Workshop!
"East Meets West for Internal Strength and External Power"
Grace Zhao

During this one-hour interactive workshop tailored to professional women, we will discuss the 3-level Leadership Integration model that combines time-proven traditional Eastern wisdoms with modern leadership practice. We will examine holistic health, redefine work-life balance, and get to the core of stress management. Based on a wellness and balance foundation, we will introduce the Tao of Leadership - the art of leadership derived from natural law.

Speaker Grace Zhao will share her personal journey as examples in integrating wellness, balance, and effective leadership. Then we will explore ways to turn feminine strength into leadership advantage. We will be challenged to evolve as female business leaders with a new global mindset and toolset.

"Listening – An Attitude of the Heart"
Peggy Titus-Hall

Listening is an attitude of the heart, a genuine desire to be with another which both attracts and heals~ J. Isham. How would you define yourself as a listener: bad, good, excellent? How does listening impact your relationships? Have you ever exercised to become a better listener? Peggy Titus-Hall helps you to identify different types of listening, filters through which we listen, barriers that prevent listening, and our attitudes toward listening, we can improve listening for better communication at work, at home, and at play.

"Energy and Climate Change: Defining Challenges of Our Time "

During this session, Dr. Brown will give a presentation with some of the facts and figures, myths and realities about energy and climate change. We will then have a discussion about the "Think global, act local" mantra that has captured the attention of so many in the sustainability community.

"Developing Your Personal Leadership Approach"

Leadership is not something "given" to you, but something you do every day in all your activities. This workshop will help you understand what "personal" leadership is and how to go about defining your leadership abilities for yourself and your future employer.

This interactive workshop will illustrate why finding balance in our lives is so important to keeping ourselves healthy and achieving our goals. You’ll learn specific techniques to engage in self-care and work towards balance.

“Building Your Personal Brand” is a fun, fast-paced, interactive presentation. From the clothes you wear to the elevator speech you give, your career is enhanced or diminished by your image. Either you establish your brand or someone else will do it for you – and you may not like the results!

"The Healthy Path to Success - Self-renewal and Sensational Fitness"

She will be speaking on self-renewal as a health-related leadership trait and she will demonstrate some energizing and fun movement ideas for all body types and personalities.

Creator of the "Working Out in The Garden" fitness program and co-creator of the "Staying Fit and Focused", a corporate wellness program, Sandy will lead participants through some energizing and fun movement ideas for all body types and personalities. Find a healthy path to success and self-renewal through fitness.

"Public Speaking"

"Fostering Inclusive Leadership: Sharing Our Experiences "

This interactive workshop will provide a space to contemplate the challenges we’ve experienced as leaders and to have meaningful discussions with our peers about how to successfully support each other's development. Utilizing a “world-café” format, participants will share personal experiences and discuss strategies for individual and collective support in our environments.
